Worldwide Vegan Bake Sale Results!

Written by Becci on May 3rd, 2013

On April 27th, Liberation BC participated in the Worldwide Vegan Bake Sale for the fourth year in a row.  This year our chosen beneficiary was  Hearts on Noses Pig Sanctuary in Mission, BC.  The bake sale itself was held outside 3G Vegetarian Restaurant.

Thanks to the work of volunteers and many talented bakers, a total of $830.75 was raised for the piggies!

Amazing job, everybody!

Sandra being awesome!

It had rained hard all day, but within minutes of the sale starting, it stopped…phew!

What to choose...

There were several kinds of cupcakes, scones, cookies, brownies, and bread as well as rice krispie treats, apple crumble, and cinnamon buns.  Yum!

volunteers

Michelle, Joanne, and Alexa, a few of our hard-working volunteers that day.

We couldn’t have done any of it without our wonderful, compassionate Vancouver vegan community.

Despite the huge quantities of food our talented bakers prepared, everything went pretty fast.

By the time the sale ended two hours later, almost everything had vanished.

If you missed the bake sale but would still like to donate to Hearts on Noses Pig Sanctuary, you can do so here.

Whisper says, "Thank you!"
