Help raise awareness about BC's trophy bear hunt by participating in this weekend's events.

Saturday, April 18  (12-2pm)
Earthday at Jericho Beach
Team Grizzly (those who will be dressed up like bears at the Sun Run) will be at Jericho Beach Park because there will be an Earthday Event and it's a great opportunity to reach out to a crowd of eco minded people. Come join our bear mascots while raising awareness about bears being killed in the Great Bear Rainforest for trophy. BC's bears are being killed because our Provincial government is in support of the hunt. The election is less than a month away, this is why it is very important for us to be out there to let people know about what's happening to our wildlife under the current government. Please, do not go to the Art Gallery like we originally planned.

Sunday, April 19 (8:00am SHARP)
Vancouver Sun Run
Runners and walkers - please meet Joanne at the corner of Burrard & Robson (in front of the Blenz coffee shop) and she will give you your "costume" to wear for the Sun Run. Joanne will be in a white bear suite so you can't miss her.

Volunteers who are NOT running/walking - please meet the other volunteers at the intersection of Denman Street & Beach Avenue, downtown.  Look for the head of the brown mascot (no one will be wearing the mascot at that point but we'll be sure to leave the head somewhere visible for you to identify the volunteers). The volunteers will be standing on beach street.

Rush hour leafleting:

Volunteers are needed to help hand out literature during the evening rush hour at various locations around the city. This will be easy and friendly leafleting in small groups.
