Security escorted a group of animal activists out of the Cloverdale Rodeo Sunday after they ran into the ring.

Between six and 12 protesters from Liberation B.C. had unfurled banners reading "Cruelty isn't fun" and "Stop the violence."

The activists took advantage of a one-minute break as the saddle bronco riding event ended and the tie-down roping event started.
