Worldwide Vegan Bake Sale Results!

On April 27th, Liberation BC participated in the Worldwide Vegan Bake Sale for the fourth year in a row.  This year our chosen beneficiary was  Hearts on Noses Pig Sanctuary in Mission, BC.  The bake sale itself was held outside 3G Vegetarian Restaurant. Thanks to the work of volunteers and many talented bakers, a total of $830.75 was

Eat cupcakes, save piggies!

On Saturday, April 27th, we will be holding a bake sale as part of the Worldwide Vegan Bake Sale.  From 3 to 5 PM, we’ll be outside 3G Vegetarian Restaurant (located at 3424 Cambie Street) with a whole bunch of delicious goodies. Thank you, Nice Shoes!

Our good friends at Nice Shoes organized a vegan bakesale yesterday to benefit Liberation BC.   They also generously donated 10% of their sales for the day.  Altogether, we received $800–amazing and so appreciated! Nice Shoes bake sale this Sunday…for us!

The nice folks at Nice Shoes, Vancouver’s only vegan shoe store, have organized a bakesale to raise money for Liberation BC!  As a grassroots, all volunteer-run non-profit, we rely on your donations to support everything we do.  Event and rental fees, website bandwidth, printing costs, film screenings, and more–they all add up!  And we couldn’t do

I found this delicious recipe for sugar cookies at JoyofBaking.com, veganized it, and altered it a little so that it’s gluten-free.  (If you’d like to make a regular wheat-based version, just follow the same instructions with your own flour of choice.  Leave out the xanthan gum.)
