Our new Animal Liberation Grants Program offers BC activists up to $500 in funding to support their initiatives.

We have two streams of grants:

1) Animal advocacy, such as:

  • Outreach actions

  • Demonstrations

  • Animal Sanctuary volunteering

  • Community events

  • Fundraising activities

2) Activist wellbeing (The Jenni Rempel Grant), such as:

  • Self-care activities

  • Mental wellness workshops

  • Community connection events

The grant can be used for any cost related to your initiative. It can also be used for honorariums for the time you and others dedicate to your project.

Eligibility:

Grants are available to any activist in BC, with or without affiliation to an organization. Successful applications will include:

  • details about the initiative

  • how it will promote animal liberation or support the activists community wellbeing

  • how the grant will help you achieve your activism goal

All projects should aim for inclusivity and anti-discrimination practices.

Liberation BC board members will review applications monthly. They will select the winning applications based on:

  • Feasibility

  • Potential impact

  • Inclusivity

To apply, complete the grant application form by November 30th, 2024. Grants will be awarded by December 2024 or until the exhaustion of funds, whichever comes first.

Liberation BC will contact successful applicants to organize the transference of funds. As we aim for transparency we will ask for a simple project report. We may use it to promote your project and share your success with the community.

All projects must be completed by March 2025.
